In
the initial stages of the engineering process, BCT designs and develops
products using Computer-Aided Design (CAD).
BCT
is experienced in all aspects of product development using CAD and
is able to accept multiple formats from customers to use in part
definition.
Customers
may provide a CAD drawing of the parts they would like BCT to produce.
BCT's design team then makes suggestions in the redesign and refinement
of the structure, aiming to make more efficient and economic parts
for manufacture.
BCT's
modeling experience includes composite structures such as eye laser
surgery tables, race car parts (image on top right), helicopter,
and airplane parts. BCT also designs very complex systems including
satellite dishes and compact range reflectors (image on bottom right).
Capable
in performing all types of conceptual design in 3D CAD, BCT gives
customers strong technical foundations for their projects.
CAD
is used to render concepts, analyze components, define manufacturing
and tooling methods, and also aids in material testing. BCT designers
utilize freeform surface modeling in the evaluation of the assembly
of materials with the aim of creating the strongest and lightest
composite structures.
